Anna Wintour, one of UK's most powerful women, has been announced to be receiving the Prestigious Lifetime Award at the British Fashion Awards on December 1st 2014. As the editor-in-chief to the fashion bible which is Vogue, and working within the company for 25 years now, there is no doubt that she has had such a huge impact in the way many people see fashion in they way they do today. Discovering some of the biggest designers to date, such as Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen, she has become an inspiration to many fashion lovers and those who aspire to work in magazines (like myself), and is truly deserving of the award. Not only using her powers to help the growth of the fashion industry, Anna has also raised nearly £100 million for charities including AIDS research and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, gaining her masses of respect from many different angles.
I hope Anna continues to be a catalyst for the growth of the industry, helps organise many more beneficial charity events and unveils more fashion secrets and designers which will become worldwide successes. Congrats Anna!
