Out on the streets of Nottingham towards Market Square, my fcp course group and I spoke to this couple, who surprisingly were very friendly, despite their gothic exterior. With their matching black look consisting of the widest range of fabrics from faux fur to leather, this couple really did the dark and mysterious look perfectly! I particularly fell in love with the males confidence to stand out, using quite an old-fashioned look with his hat, moustache and umbrella (used almost like a walking stick), but making it look so cool and on trend at the same time. This sophisticated look works well with the couples bulky, shiny, black boots, which really stood out as focal points to the outfit for me. I'm so glad I was able to capture their outfits as they really are fabulous, and so pleased that Bill Cunningham's New York documentary gave the rest of my group and I the courage to approach them and take their photo!
